You know it’s humid when your glasses fog up when you leave the a/c in the bedroom.

Stray dogs do run in packs. They are afraid of thrown rocks and the skinny young boy who came to throw them when he heard them all start barking at the dogs and I. So many people are helpful and kind even though my French is abysmal.

Somehow their night peepers gang up and are able to make it feel like you are stuck in a duck farm with thousands of ducks on caffeine or speed!

You can only keep one brother and one sister in one room before things get ugly

    Your Dad sent us your blog address today. So I have delayed lunch until I read all of it. Of course, I forgot to start at the bottom and work towards the top. 🙂 I’m so glad you are doing a blog so we can follow your life in Dakar. The only way Dakar could be different of Omaha the last few weeks is our humidity is lower than yours. It will be interesting to see how fast you two kiddos pick up enough French to communicate with others more easily. In my German trip two year ago by the end of the trip I’d learned enough German to order a meal, purchase something and this was some 50+ years since I had German in high school.

    May God be your source of strength and may He guard you and keep you safe the next two years.
